Anyway after years of making scale 1/4 and 1/3 scale gliders I decided that as I lived 30mins from Minden I should learn to glide.
I started flying at Minden on March the 9th 1997. it was a windy day
with no lift at all. We shot a load of landing patterns in the SZD50-3 Owl.
I was hooked.
When I got back from that lesson something was ticking inside my head. Mainly the thought of "Damn why hadnt I done
this ealier in my life instead of messing around with the toy version". I was determined to get the most out of my flying that I could. I went solo after 20 odd launches and soon graduated to the Grob 102. After
